Fox’s Yacht Sales have been awarded regional winner in the Annual RNLI Supporter Awards 2011. They have raised almost £20000 over the past 12 years by requesting donations for entry to their annual Beneteau Owners weekends.
The 2010 Fox’s Yacht Sales regatta was once again a real success with 29 entries in the gusty conditions. This was an excellent event with the race starting at 11.30 and the meal and group starting about 19.00. My thanks and I am sure all of the other entries go to all the Fox’s staff that do so well organising this event, all in aid of the RNLI. No entry fee is requested just a donation to the RNLI. Janice and I managed to come 4th this year, missing the prizes by just 5 seconds. We still have not worn all the T shirts and polo shirts from last years prizes so a chance for somebody else.
Tom Budworth in his old boat that he had for just 3 months before upgrading to a new Trawler yacht 34. Must have been a good deal, that's what going to Fox's regatta does for you.
The BOA has purchased a perpetual trophy for the winner of the Maiden Marine First 21 series championship. This was presented for the first time on the 22nd August at the championship finals during the Beneteau Cup event.
